SUITBORN NIGHT 3 Co-op Tips & Squad Roles

Online lobbies win with roles — cameras, generators, and tasks split before Kong ever appears.

Co-op Tips & Roles

SUITBORN supports online co-op, and squads that assign roles clear Nights 1–3 far more consistently than four players freelancing the same hallway. After UPDATE v4.0 made Night 3 Kong playable in alpha, communication quality matters even more: scale pressure punishes silent lobbies that all sprint for the same objective. This page is the squad playbook — roles, callouts, and night-specific plans that plug into every other guide on the wiki.

Solo players should still read it: understanding co-op logic improves how you pace yourself when randoms join mid-shift.

Default three-role framework

RolePrimary jobSecondary job
ObserverCamera desk, hunter callouts, anxiety watchAbort calls for field players
Power techGenerator top-offsCloset bait only if path is clear
Task flexPosters, keys, Csybot pieces, Kong objectivesSwap to observer mid-shift

Duos collapse Observer + Power into one player who rotates every few minutes. Trios/quads should keep a dedicated Observer as often as possible.

Callout language (keep it short)

Good callouts are boring and repeatable:

  • “Gojira east hall, hold tasks”
  • “Fuel now — path clear”
  • “Anxiety yellow, desk”
  • “Closet by gen, do not kite”
  • “Kong audio north, abort open ground”

Bad callouts waste lives: long stories, joke panic, or silence until someone dies. Agree on names for wings before the shift using the map literacy from How to Play.

Anxiety as a squad resource

One player’s red meter is everyone’s problem. Observer tracks verbal meter states. When two field players hit orange:

  1. Abort far tasks.
  2. One desks; one emotes in a safe interior.
  3. Power tech confirms generator is not about to blackout.
  4. Resume only when meters leave danger.

Details: Manage Anxiety.

Closet etiquette in co-op

  • Never kite a hunter through a teammate’s announced closet.
  • Do not triple-stack one locker on Night 2+.
  • If you force a door check, call “blown closet” so allies rotate.

Full hide theory: Hiding & Closets.

Night 1 squad plan — Gojira

Goal: teach roles without dual-threat chaos.

  1. Observer learns full camera cycle.
  2. Flex clears poster clusters near the desk.
  3. Power tech owns first three fuel windows.
  4. Swap Observer once so everyone can desk under pressure.

Walkthrough: Night 1. Entity tells: Gojira.

Night 2 squad plan — Anguirus / Csybot

Goal: split attention without splitting information.

  1. Observer stays up more often — dual hunters punish blind flexes.
  2. Flex owns basement key + Csybot piece routing in short loops.
  3. Power tech refuses to skip warnings during assembly greed.
  4. After any wipe, reset roles; do not grief-queue the same bad habit.

Walkthrough: Night 2. Threat page: Anguirus and Csybot.

Night 3 squad plan — Kong (V4.0 live)

Goal: survive scale fantasy with boring discipline.

  1. Pre-queue class picks from Best for Night 3 — Kenji invisibility helps bailouts but does not replace Observer.
  2. First attempt: learn audio + closet clusters; do not greed 100% tasks.
  3. Second attempt: reintroduce Night 2 batching with earlier generator top-offs.
  4. After hotfixes, re-read Patch Notes before blaming teammates.

Bloodbath and Kenji as squad goals

Bloodbath Mode and Unlock Kenji need even stricter discipline: flawless solo requirements punish passengers. If your squad is practicing Kenji unlocks, schedule dedicated Bloodbath sessions — do not derail a Night 3 Kong clear with mid-lobby mode swaps.

Class and gamepass coordination

  • At least one player with Night Vision makes dark fuel and closet scouting safer (Gamepasses).
  • Clock gamepass players should announce time checks so the squad does not misjudge late-shift greed.
  • Kenji Fujimoto is a force multiplier for escapes, not a license to ignore tier list fundamentals.

What to do with randoms

Public lobbies rarely read this wiki. Lead lightly:

  1. Type role suggestions once at start.
  2. Self-assign Observer if nobody takes cameras.
  3. Protect generators even if randoms ignore warnings.
  4. Soft mute toxicity; panic chat loses more runs than quiet focus.

Common co-op failures

  • Everyone tasks; nobody cameras.
  • Two players fuel the same generator while a third dies unseen.
  • Stacking closets.
  • Calling Kong “just like Gojira” without learning new audio.
  • Using scripts mid-co-op without telling teammates — trust collapses and bans still apply (Scripts Hub).

Pre-queue checklist

Use Night Prep Checklist plus:

  • Voice or reliable text ready
  • Roles claimed
  • One person watched Controls for M / V PC binds after V4.0
  • Agreement: abort call from Observer is law

Co-op does not make SUITBORN easy. It makes mistakes visible early — if your squad listens. Assign roles, keep callouts short, and let the clock reach 6 AM on purpose.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Does SUITBORN support online co-op?

Yes. Online multiplayer lobbies are supported. Assign observer, power tech, and task flex roles before the shift starts.

What is the most important co-op role?

Observer on cameras. Without hunter callouts and anxiety watches, field players greed tasks into free deaths.

How should duos split roles?

Rotate Observer and Power every few minutes while the other player flexes tasks. Never leave cameras empty for entire loops.

Should we unlock Kenji during a Night 3 clear?

No. Schedule Bloodbath sessions separately. Night 3 Kong clears need stable roles, not mid-lobby mode swaps.

What callouts matter most on Night 3?

Hunter audio direction, fuel windows, anxiety color, and blown closets. Keep them short so teammates can act instantly.
